The League of Extraordinarily Pretty Greek Boys is a concept I had for a spoof comic of Alan Moore's The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. It involves several of my favorite characters from Greek myth being resurrected in the present time, because, well, I think I'd like the world better if it had them in it.

It's all Andrael's fault, really. Okay, it's not, but she started me going, so she is the convenient scapegoat. She adopted Icarus as her web mascot, and her version of the character is so endearing I couldn't shake him loose. I also blame Zan for drawing such lovely Greeky boys and for reminding me of the story of Hyacinth (Hyakinthos) in his comic. And lastly I blame HBO (yes, the movie channel) for showing Mission Impossible 2, which had a reference to Bellerophon and the Chimaera, which reminded me how pissed off I was that Disney had given Pegasus to Hercules instead of to Bellerophon, who was the original rider, dammit. Erm, anyway...

The story so far is that it seems to have given up being a spoof comic and crossed over into my characteristic excuse to draw angsty pretty boys. The good thing about that is that it gives me a lot more to play with in terms of design and story. I hope you like the result.
